McLaren F1 оснащался 6-литровым 627-сильным двигателем BMW и был выпущен очень маленьким тиражом (107 экземпляров). В самой «простой» комплектации эта модель стоила от $1 млн. Последний McLaren F1 был собран в 1998 году. Но даже спустя 10 лет McLaren F1 остается одним из самых быстрых автомобилей в мире. До 100 км/ч он разгоняется за 3,2 секунды, а его максимальная скорость равна 372 км/ч. Именно F1 в 1993 году установил рекорд максимальной скорости среди серийных машин, который был недосягаем для конкурентов вплоть до 2005 года! Он и сегодня быстрее знаменитых Ferrari Enzo или Lamborghini Murcielago и до сих пор является самым быстрым автомобилем с атмосферным (!) двигателем…
Bugatti Veyron был впервые представлен публике 5 января 2006 в США на LA Auto Show. Названный самым быстрым, самым мощным и самым дорогим автомобилем в мире он тотчас стал объектом вожделения богачей и шейхов. Полноприводный Bugatti Veyron комплектуется 1001-сильным 16-цилиндровым двигателем с четырьмя турбинами, который агрегатируется с секвентальной 7-ступенчатой коробкой передач с двумя сцеплениями. Максимальный крутящий момент этого мотора составляет 1250 Нм и доступен с 2200 об/мин. От 0 до 100 км/ч суперкар способен разогнаться за 2,5 секунды, до 200 – за 7,3 секунды, а до 300 – за 16,7 секунды. Максимальная скорость – 407 км/ч. В отличие от строго лимитированного F1, Veyron стал попсой… и к нынешнему времени уже разошелся тиражем свыше 300 штук.

McLaren F1 vs Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron
So actually it was the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 that defeated the McLaren F1. In acceleration AND top speed in a TWO way average productions record run. There’s nothing more to say. I’ve got the numbers on my pad for other «rivals» (when in fact there were really, none) and their independently verified times are NOWHERE near, regardless of what any claims are. And Bugatti made hundreds of them.
I really should pay this car more due respect.

if the tsukuba was not damp then how can you see reflection of lights in the road which indicates that it was moist and what that 92 percent in the video means.
i think it means the tarmac grip at ideal condition(100% grip) it should do at max

mp4-12 c was faster on tg track with lower lateral acceleration so i don’t want to hear skidpad tells everything about handling.

you can see that f1(3rd pos,1:55.9 is very competitive at that track and faster than zr1(1:56.42)
most of these laptimes can be seen on youtube but some are from dead links.
1.LOL jaguar xj220 has low downforce about 600lbs at 200mph.f1 can produce that downforce @ around 140mph
2.an lm version is said to have enough downforce to stay planted @100mph on the track which is around 550kg @ 150mph(only 50kg lower than p1).
3.it is not downforce that matters,it is the of downforce that matter and that is one of the reasons for f1 to be unstable.
4.an f1 gt can produce slightly higher downforce than f1 lm as said by mclaren @ same drag as f1 and retain f1’s topspeed.
5.If f1 is not a track car, how would it win le mans @ its 1st year of production and why would tiff needle from these videos say it has good handling and is awesome on track

it indicates that mika hakkinen might have tested xp5 around nurburgring
McLaren’s F1 doesn’t have downforce. Kinda like the Bugatti Veyron which Wheels Magazine claimed it did 7:40 at the 20.8km Nurburgring (even though I won’t add that laptime to the Veyron’s database anymore).
NO, THE MCLAREN F1 IS NOT A TRACK CAR, AND YOU WILL NEVER TRY OUT 7:1x EVEN IN A BTG LAYOUT, BECAUSE THE F1’S TIRES AND BODY JUST WEREN’T MADE TO. THE PORSCHE CARRERA GT IS A TRACK HYPERCAR AND IT DID 7:28. THE MCLAREN F1 WITH ITS LONGER GEARING AND POOR TIRES WILL NOT GO ANY LOWER THAN LIKE 7:39 BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE BUGATTI VEYRON (WITH NO DOWNFORCE EITHER) DID 7:40.
The McF1 and Veyron were only made for speed. The Jaguar XJ220, Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari Enzo, etc., have different personalities.

2: Ferrari didnt have a car to compete with an F1, The closest thing was the F50, Which was 110Bhp down,130Lb ft down, 130kg more, And half the price, Might as well compare an STI with an S6..
3: That track was BARELY damp on Tsukuba, 2, He was doing those so called «MissShifts» on purpose with reason. Baely ANY car is ever pushed to its limits if any regarding a program/magazine test.

5: F1 was only faster on Autodrome because it wasnt stock, This has been gone over, Ive no idea about Estoril, But if a 09 ZR1 can take down an 09 GT2, It can take down a F1, Same with the others, You are prasing this cars track capabilities WAY out of proportion.

F1 WAS FASTER THAN ENZO,CCX ON BEDFORD,FASTER THAN ZR1 ON ESTORIL.
TSUKUBA LAP IS SLOW DUE TO DAMP WEATHER AND LOT OF MISSHIFTINGS AND NOT PUSHED TO LIMITS.
YEAH I WOULD ALLOW MY 3 MILLION CAR TO BE PUSHED TO LIMITS AS I WILL WANT TO KNOW ITS POTENTIAL.

F1 TESTED FOR AUTODROME HAD RIMS CHANGED.LARGER WHEELS PROVIDES BETTER GRIP IF AND ONLY IF IT IS WIDER AT THE COST OF ACCELERATION.
F1 TESTED BY EVO HAD FADED BRAKES AS STATED BY OWNER,MALFUNCTIONING OF KEVLAR FANS.BESIDES A CAR IS CONSIDERED STOCK AS LONG AS ITS PARTS ARE SAME. YOU CAN ASK MCLAREN TO TUNE F1 FOR THE TRACK.
F1 TESTED STILL HAD BODY ROLLS,SOFT SUSPENSION AND HEAVY STEERING WHICH IMPLIES ITS BASIC HANDLING CHARACTER WAS SAME.
A Koenig CC8s would be more similar in terms of power, weight, downforce levels and sophistication.

Судя, по данным автопроизводителей, перевес в динамике и максимальной скорости имеет Bugatti, но, чтобы не полагаться только на цифры, предоставляемые компаниями, программа Top Gear решила устроить свои гонки "по-королевски".
Мини-турнир между Bugatti Veyron и McLaren F1 было решено провести на специальной трассе протяженностью около 1,5 км. Перед заездом явным фаворитом считался 1001-сильный Veyron, однако менее сильный суперкар, дитище Туманного Альбиона, который весит почти на 750 кг меньше, чем Bugatti, уступать и не собирался.
Раскрывать имя победителя мы не будем, для определения триумфатора предлагаем собственными глазами увидеть столь редкое и захватывающее зрелище — «Bugatti Veyron против McLaren F1».
