Third Party Known Issues
There are no third party issues known to exist at the time of Knowledge Xpert for PLSQL release.
Knowledge Xpert 10.1 knowledge bases are available for the following:
- Oracle Administration
- Oracle PL/SQL
- DB2
- MySQL
- SQL Server
Note: You do not need to uninstall previous versions of Knowledge Xpert before you install 10.1.
If you want to upgrade Knowledge Xpert for PLSQL, install to the same directory where it currently resides. This requires you to also upgrade any other Knowledge Xpert knowledge bases installed in that directory. The default directory is C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Knowledge Xpert.
If you want to install this version of Knowledge Xpert but do not want to overwrite the existing version or interfere with other Knowledge Xpert knowledge bases, then install this version to a directory other than the one where you installed the previous version.

Before installing Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

This release supports any single-byte character set. Double-byte or multi-byte character sets are not supported. In this release, all product components should be configured to use the same or compatible character encodings and should be installed to use the same locale and regional options. This release is targeted to support operations in the following regions: North America, Western Europe and Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe.

Installation Instructions
To install Knowledge Xpert
- Download the executables for the Knowledge Xpert products you want to install on your system from SupportLink at http://support.quest.com/.
- Click the executable (KXDB2.exe, KXSQLServer.exe, KXMySQL.exe, KXORADM.exe, KXPLSQL.exe) to install each Knowledge Xpert product separately. The installer prompts for the directory where you want to install the product.
- From the installation folder (default folder is C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Knowledge Xpert), click KXpert.exe or click the Knowledge Xpert icon on your desktop to launch the product. The opening window lists the installed knowledge bases.

Так получилось, что мне срочно понадобилась документация по Oracle для разработчиков. Помимо официальной документации, представленной на сайте корпорации Oracle, мне попалась на глаза база знаний — Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL, от компании Quest Software. Эта база знаний может работать в demo режиме, но соответственно с урезанными функциями. А вот если хочется ощутить всю мощь знаний, то необходимо ввести регистрационный ключ. Но вот не задача инет упал, и когда появиться тоже неизвестно! Надо было что-то делать! Благо под рукой оказалась среда разработки Delphi. И вот посидев с полчасика, на свет появилась программа, которая позволила использовать Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL в полном объеме. Этой программой хочу поделиться с участниками портала http://dumpz.ws/
У данной программы есть одна особенность: программу надо запускать каждый раз, когда вы запускаете Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL. Запускаете Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL, нажимаем кнопку в программе и все, можно пользоваться, а программку можно смело закрывать!
Напоминаю, что небыло возможности найти ключи для этой базы знаний, поэтому пришлось пользоваться подручными средствами.
P.S. Ключ я до сих пор так и не нашел, да в принципе он и не нужен!Чтобы скачть Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL необходима регистрация на сайте Для просмотра ссылки Войди

Описание использования программы View KXpert :
1. Запускаем программку View KXpert
2. Запускаем Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL. Когда появляется приглашение ввести ключ, нажимаем в программе View KXpert кнопку "Open KXpert".
