Nuvoton Communications Port — коммуникационный порт (COM).

Скажу сразу коротко — в этот порт подключаются всякие старые устройства, а то, что вы не знаете что это за порты — только говорит о том, что они уже просто устарели.

Nuvoton это производитель. Если вы под таким названием видите драйвера, а компьютер у вас старый — то их устанавливать нужно при условии, что вы собираетесь к компьютеру подключать устройство по LPT или COM. Хотя на самом деле сама операционка Windows должна спокойно установить такой драйвер, единственная причина, по которой возможно не сможет поставить — это производитель Nuvoton, о котором она не знает.

Последовательный порт — это уже для оборудования, которые принимают данные в виде последовательного кода, например терминал, модем, мышка. Порты называются COM1, COM2 и так далее. Вот как выглядит порт COM:

Да ребята, это LPT и COM порты. Особо они в современном компьютерном мире уже не нужны, почему? Потому что пришла эра USB. Если у вас есть устройство, которое вы подключаете по LPT или COM — тогда да, нужно чтобы были установлены драйвера, которые обычно ставит сама операционка.. а если такого устройства нет — забудьте и все))
